Hi all,

I'm new using Typo3, and going to like and use it to build my new sites.

Now, I'm learning Typo3 from its Introduction Package[0], and finally
find a newbie's question: How to modify the content of the footer?
Like 'Related Links', or 'TYPO3 in social networks'?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

if i remember right, you're not allowed to change the introduction
package (license ccnd).

But please take a look in Web > Templates one site should have a
template where the footer is defined ;)

Regards
Kay

Hi Kay,
Have a look in the sysfolder TypoScript Templates->page_blocks_configuration
select the list mode and clic on "lib.footer" then you will see how the
footer is built: records out of the sysfolder "Footer content" (id: 20
defined in the constant contentpage.footerPID ).
Hope this helps.

You are looking at the constant editor. Use the dropdown at the very to to
select info/modify. Then you will be able to see the actual TypoScript (TS)
code.

Like has been discussed in this thread[1], right?
Actually, I'm doing this for learning purpose, not for commercial use
or to produce/build other product from it.

Thanks for nice hint. Is it in: Web / Templates , Go to: Home /
Generated content / Footer content ?
I can not find anything related on how to modify it, or... I made a mistake?

1. Login to the Backend (as admin)
2. Work from left to right:
2.1 select the Template Module below the Web Section
2.2 select
"Home" / "Generated content" / "Footer content" in the Pagetree

Have a nice day and good luck

I think this is hardcode in TypoScript. Have a look into the templates.

Also, as Kay already said, mind the license. The content and layout of the
Introduction Package are Creative Commons without the right to alter the
work (link is at the bottom right of the footer).

If you don't mind, I would like to get some feedback from you, regarding how
you experienced the Introduction Package for learning TYPO3.
You send me a private email about how you like it, what was your problem or
what you want to be changed. I will take care of integrating new ideas or
changes.

Best regards

I think the layout/design is copyrighted and cannot be used to create its
own website. But what's about the technical point of view (sysfolder,
template, inclusion, etc.). I cannot imagine that in an opensource
environnment this part of setup cannot be reused.
Additional comments are welcome.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Ben,

the technical part shows the best practises, the layout it self is under
a special license.
Hope this is fully correct - but this is how i remember the discussion.

I created a template which is fully gpled ;)

Only the layout and maybe the content is licensed. The TypoScript code is
considered public domain (as it only shows best practice). And the PHP code
is (must be) GPL (v2 mostly).

I hope this helps.
