[TYPO3] Direct Mail Fetching Problem

Hi, All
I didn't see that this problem has been addressed yet, so forgive me if
I'm repeating an old question.

Whenever I try to use the Direct Mail Extension, I get the following
error when I create a new direct mail:

"An error was encountered.

The plain text content could not be fetched.
The HTML content could not be fetched."

I've tried clearing the cache, double checking the configuration,
changing the configuration, etc. Nothing seems to work. Does anyone else
have this problem and know what causes it and how to fix it?

Another note: One time the problem fixed itself overnight, then came
back a couple days later. I didn't (knowingly) change anything either time.

All help appreciated!

I have had that - and my boss fixed that. There was an error in some
server settings but I newer get information what.
Other possible reason is missing direct mail boundaries from html and
plain text templates.

I don't know your version but in former versions this problem could be
solved by a simple "clear cache" before fetching the letter.

If that works add an extension template to your folder where you create
your letters with config.no_cache=1.

Cheers

Yes, I read that somewhere. It doesn't seem to work for me, though.

I'm using Typo3 4.2.1, and Direct Mail 2.6.0

is the site protected with htaccess? firewall problem? load balancer?

Hmm...maybe. I'll check up on that.
What is a load balancer?
