Hi there,

I want to display my tt_news completely without it's header (I mean the
header of the news plugin, not the title of the news).
The header should also be hidden if the user has entered a header.

I've found some posts related to this, but they were not really helpfull
to me..
Thx for your help,
greets Ben

Hi,

I'm not quite sure what you actually want to hide, but maybe thats
just me, try to explain it more precise for me.

Best Regards
Tomas

Hi Tomas,

I'm sorry I try to explain better:
When you create a new pagecontent of tt_news, then you can enter a
header in the tab "general".
In the frontend this header title gets displayed above the tt_news
plugin. The problem is that you can't control it with the template, and
so I want to remove it complete...

Hi.

Ok. now i get it :)

If you chose to "Show secondary options (palettes)", then you can set
Header Type to Hidden.

The obvious answer is: just don't write any header - and if you do,
configure it's type "hidden". But maybe I too just don't understand you...

Hi Katja,

thanks for your answer.
I'm a little ashamed, settiny header type to hidden is a sufficient
solution. I've to admit that I've just didn't see it.

Hi Ben - don't worry, I find new things in TYPO3 all the time and after
finding them I can't believe I didn't notice them before :)

There's small practical advice: it's better to set some header, and set
it hidden then leave it just empty, I inherited implementation where
there are lot of tt_news plugins without any header on every page and
everyone is called:

[No title]
Plugin: News ? Displaying: LATEST

instead it could be described as

[Development]
[Association]
[Community]

etc...

It's just nicer to work...
Other thing is that I always write names of the hidden headers in the
[square brackets]

Of course it's just a tip :)
