Hi there
The new 2017.10 version of the Aimeos online shop extension contains some major improvements:
- Full-featured administration interface using the JSON REST API
- New panels for managing suppliers, services, plugins, locales and types
- CSV imports and exports in administration interface
- Configurable group based access control
- Usability and performance improvements
- Two more voucher limiting decorators
- Easy access to custom properties like extended user data
The new Aimeos administration interface is now feature complete. It contains additional panels for managing suppliers, services, plugins, locales and all types. Orders can be exported and voucher codes imported in CSV format. A configurable group based access control system allows or denies access to each panel for editors and administrators and all links in the navigation bar can be configured according to the requirements of the shop owner. For shops with huge category trees, nodes are now loaded on demand to improve rendering performance.
To improve the usability of the administration interface further, all search parameter are stored in the session of the user so the same result set is shown when switching between detail and list views. Panels of items with configuration options now contain typed fields (booleans, numbers, selects and maps) for each option if the types are known. Also, you can save items and related data without overwriting volatile data like voucher counts or stock levels unexpectedly.
Starting with this version, shop owners can teaser products in list and details views without customers being able to add them to the basket. This is especially useful for time restricted products. Furthermore, 2017.10 contains two more voucher limiting decorators, one prevents customers from using unlimited voucher codes more than once, the other for requiring products from a certain category. Delivery and payment options can now also be limited to a given time frame.
Developers can fetch and access project specific columns from any table only by adding them to the configuration, e.g. to get additional data from the fe_users table. They are then available as read-only properties of the items. Also, "average" and "sum" aggregates are now available for generating order based charts in the admin dashboard.
The Aimeos source code is available at GitHub (https://github.com/aimeos/aimeos-typo3) and can be installed via composer or directly from the TER:
